UB Preview: ‘Play Dirty’ Starring Mark Wahlberg + LaKeith Stanfield
Launching Globally on Prime Video October 1st.
“Play Dirty” streams Globally on Prime Video October 1st.
“Play Dirty” is a hard-hitting action thriller from director Shane Black, reinvigorates the classic heist film in a wild jaunt inspired by the unforgettable novels of Richard Stark.
Starring Academy Award nominee Mark Wahlberg as the charismatic and mysterious antihero Parker, and Academy Award nominee LaKeith Stanfield as the sharp-witted swindler Grofield, “Play Dirty” will keep audiences guessing to the end.

When his latest carefully planned heist ends in the murder of his associates, expert thief Parker sets out to even the score with Zen (Rosa Salazar), who is responsible for double-crossing them. Instead, he finds the money gone and the only way to recover it is to help her pull off a seemingly impossible job: steal a collection of priceless jewels and artifacts on loan to the U.N.
Together with Grofield, Parker assembles a crew of unsavory yet highly skilled operatives, including art thieves Ed Mackey (Keegan-Michael Key) and his wife Brenda (Claire Lovering) as well as reckless getaway driver Stan (Chai Hansen).

As the heist unfolds, however, we discover this particular score has chilling baggage; to succeed, Parker and crew must go head-to-head with the New York mob, in a cat-and-mouse caper that pits them against crime kingpin (and Parker’s sworn enemy) Lozini, played by Tony Shalhoub.
Packed with action, the film hurtles toward an epic showdown in which Parker’s blue-collar tough guy celebrates Christmas in the city with his trademark blend of old-school mayhem and powder keg violence.
